Arbitration Services

Arbitration is an efficient and effective alternative to traditional litigation. We provide Arbitration services, both in person and virtually, through Konnexus AS.

Arbitration can provide a quicker, more flexible and less expensive alternative to court proceedings, whilst also providing the parties with a structured process and an independently adjudicated outcome.

It is often used where there are disputes relating to technical issues and allows the parties to choose an expert to determine the result. It can also be an effective means of resolving disputes between international parties. The parties to a dispute can elect to refer a matter to arbitration. They can agree on the venue and the number of arbitrators to be appointed, the governing law of the dispute and also the procedural rules.

There are a number of sets of internationally recognised procedural rules, which ensure the fairness and impartially of arbitration proceedings. These include the internationally recognised International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Arbitration Rules or the Rules of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) and more recently, the Nordic Offshore & Maritime Arbitration Association (NOMA).

Judgements are usually confidential and can be enforced in other jurisdictions through the New York Convention.

We provide the guidance, expertise and resources you need to effectively navigate, resolve and manage disputes through Mediation (both Commercial & Workplace) and Arbitration.

Choosing the right dispute resolution method can make a significant difference. Mediation empowers parties to reach a mutually agreeable solution in a flexible, non-binding process, while Arbitration provides a formal, binding resolution. Whether your issue is workplace-related, commercial, or technical, Rhian (a dual CEDR-accredited Mediator in Civil & Commercial and Workplace) and Emma (a Lawyer and Arbitrator) are here to support.
